It is important for you to know there is road construction on Center Street by Bob Duncan. We recommend you plan accordingly. We also recommend taking Mayfield Rd to Center St and then go northbound on Center to Bob Duncan. This will help avoid some of the construction. We will allow early entry of ten minutes to all dances.
We also have Crazy Fast Caricature Artist who will be onsite to draw pictures of dads and daughters! This feature is free, but tips are welcomed.
Michael's Guitar Studio is a sponsor this year. They will raffle of (3) three one month guitar lessons; one at each dance. They are providing live entertainment in the Activities Tent as well. Please stop by their table to learn more about their services.
Every year the Daddy Daughter Dance has a theme. Tell your daughters to get excited because this year's theme is Disney's Frozen. This animated film recently released about the trials that an ice princesses endures with her reindeer and snowman friends.
This year's event will include light appetizers and desserts, dancing, arts and crafts. Each daughter will receive a corsage and a complimentary "daddy daughter" photo by a professional photographer. Larger photo packages will be available for purchase as well. The customary limo rides have been replaced with intuitive arts and crafts for the girls to participate in.
BUILDING A BOND
There's no age limit to this event so daughters of all ages are welcome (2 and up is recommended). Daddy Daughter Dance is a great opportunity for dads to spend time with their daughters; in today's busy world that opportunity isn't always present.
"This event is a wonderful opportunity for dad's to give their daughters special time, to show daughters what it means to be respected and honored," Center Programs Manager Yvonne Falgout said. "This event helps to build memories of first formal events for the girls; it builds their confidence and truly does build a stronger relationship between dad and daughter."
The 2015 Daddy Daughter Dance is unique as this year marks the 15th anniversary of the event. "We have had so many couples share their enjoyment for this dance and the uniqueness it provides to their memories," Falgout added.
