Department Supporters

The City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide the best facilities and service to the community. In order to achieve this goal the department must identify opportunities to capture non-traditional revenue and develop partnerships. The City of Arlington has a multitude of opportunities for residents and businesses to become involved, including: donations, sponsoring/naming park assets (park benches, trees, etc.), sponsoring community programs and events, advertising in parks and facilities (concrete stickers, signage, Splash Radio, etc.), and advertising in department publications (the Naturally Funtimes, email newsletters or department webpages). Park Board

{tab About} The Park and Recreation Board meeting is held the second Monday evening of every month. The board discusses items on the agenda, parks and recreation projects going on in the city, and receives input from citizens. All residents are invited to come and observe the board during any meeting. Agenda The board's regular session usually begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Parks and Recreation Administration Building, 717 West Main. Build A Dream Scholarship

  [ Interested in donating a scholarship? Click here ]  {tab English} WHAT IS BUILD A DREAM?It's a Scholarship Program for children (four months to 16 years of age) to register for many Arlington Parks and Recreation Department youth programs. The scholarship is funded by the Community Development Block Grant. QUALIFICATIONS:Eligibility is based upon federal income guidelines and is available to Arlington residents only. Due to limited funding, scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship.
