Branch Out and Get Involved with the Parks Volunteer Program!
Our Mission is to enhance Arlington's parks and open spaces through volunteer partnerships which promote civic engagement, pride and stewardship throughout the community. Our Goals are to:
  • Leverage volunteer resources that can enhance the maintenance and beautification of parks and recreation facilities
  • Promote environmental consciousness
  • Increase awareness and ownership of park resources
  • Build support for the stewardship of park resources 


Keep Arlington Beautiful

Keep Arlington Beautiful is a new program launched through the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with Keep Texas Beautiful. Please visit often as we grow and promote this eco-based initiative. Keep Arlington Beautiful supports Arlington's initiative to nurture and grow an environmentally friendly and vibrant community providing our residents with ample opportunities for culture, beauty and play. 




Volunteer Photographs

We're looking for a few good volunteer photographers! Have a passion for the camera? Love taking pictures of wildlife and nature? Let us see some of your fun and creative images. Your photos may find themselves gracing the covers of our brochures or on the city's website! Sound like fun? If so, fill out the Parks Volunteer Photographer Waiverand contact the Parks Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Chadwell, at 817-459-5477 or Jennifer.Chadwell@arlingtontx.gov

Wildlife Volunteers

We're looking for volunteers to assist in the conservation of Wildlife by adopting a birdhouse throughout the city. We now have the following birdhouses at our parks:
  • 25 Blue Bird Houses
  • 5 Purple Martin Houses
  • 5 Wood Duck Houses
  • 8 Bat Nursery/Houses
Volunteers can be individuals or a small group, i.e.: Scout Group, a Club, or Home Owners Association.
