Programs

Dottie Lynn offers a wide variety of programs and activities for all ages. Classes are taught throughout the day and evenings. Programs include: A variety of aerobic and weight room memberships for ages 14 and up. 

  • Mature adult programs in fitness, health and wellness, and arts and culture.
  • Teen programs including fitness, camps, arts and culture.
  • Day camp program offering themed activities including sports, crafts and special activities for children ages 5-12 (available during the summer, winter and Spring Break holidays).
  • Preschool classes in martial arts, movement devolpment, preschool programing, and sports.
  • Elementary classes in martial arts, art, basketball, soccer, and music.
  • Adult classes in aerobics, weight training, arts and culture.
  • Educational preschool program offering a fun and learning environment for children ages 3-5.

Special Events 

  • January—Fitness Specials.  

  • January—Daddy Daughter Dance

    Share an enchanting evening with your daughter as you dance the night away!  The event features music, dancing, light snacks and desserts.  It is sure to be a magical memory for you and your daughter. 

  • April – Naturally Fit Expo

    Demo our latest fitness programs and classes.  Visit vendors representing the latest in health and wellness. 

  • May—Preschool Graduation

    We celebrate our promoting preschooler with a program and graduation.  The graduation is followed by a reception for all attendees.

    May-Summer Open House

    Receive a 10% discount on most classes and camps during our summer Open House. 

  • August-Fall Open House

    Receive a 10% discount on most classes and camps during our fall Open House.        

  • October – Family Fun Campout

    This annual event is held at Veteran’s Park.  Families bring your tent and we will do the rest!  Hot dog dinner, campfire, hayrides, tent trick-or-treating, entertainment and much more! 

  • December-Fitness Pot-Luck Luncheon

    This annual luncheon is a great opportunity for all fitness participants, past, present and future, to enjoy a great lunch and socialization with fellow participants.  We even play a few fun games of bingo with great prizes. 

    December – Olde Town Christmas

    Join us for our annual Christmas Craft Fair.  Over 60 vendors sell a variety of homemade goods, eclectic finds and much more.  We will have a wide variety of entertainment, food and even a visit from Santa!

Preschool Classes 

    • Ballet & Tap-Preschool (3-5 year olds) Offer both Recital and Non-recital classes

      Learn beginning classical ballet and tap.  Class will devote equal time to both styles of dance. 

    • Shake, Rattle & Grow (1-3 year olds)

      Bring your toddler to this fast movin’, music playin’, toe tappin’ class.  Class will concentrate on movement, rhythm and interaction with you and other participants in the class.  We will involve colors, bubbles, musical instruments and upbeat music that will get everyone movin’ and groovin’. 

    • Preschool Playhouse (3 & 4-5)

      During this year-round program, we will carry out different themes using crafts, songs, stories, games and other fun activities.  We will also introduce colors, shapes, numbers, letters and much more.

    • Super Hero Training Academy (3-5 year olds)

      Run! Leap! Fly! Bring out your super powers while having fun on obstacle courses and learning new motor skills!

Elementary Classes 

  • Tae Kwon Do (6 & up)

    After stretching and conditioning, students will learn kicking, punching, basic falls and discipline. 

  • Guitar (8 & up)

    Learn basic guitar chords, strumming techniques, tuning and care of the guitar.  Emphasis is on the guitar as accompaniment and will include simple guitar solos. 

  • Keyboarding (6-15)

    This class is taught using an electric keyboard.  Learn beginning skills; notes and their time values, fingering, simple songs, etc. 

  • Hip Hop Dance Class (8-17)

    Come have a great time learning Hip Hop dance!  This class will teach you all the latest and hottest dance steps.  It’s a great workout too. 

  • Jazz Elementary (6-12)

    If you’re looking for the class that really moves, here it is!  Students will be taught jazz squares, leaps, attitudes and combination steps.

  • Archery (6-15)

    Students learn they must overcome distractions and obstacles, and have a plan of action.  Archery provides afundamental relaxation quality in that the archer must learn to focus on the immediate moment.  Archery is self-challenging and rewarding activity, blending physical and mental resources.

Teen Classes

    You will learn how to serve the ball, proper footwork and how to bump, set and spike the volleyball.

    Come hav ea great time learning Hip Hop dance!  This class will teach you all the latest and hottest dance steps.  It’s a great workout too. 

  • Archery (6-15)

  • Women’s Self Defense (12 & up )

    This program will teach females to recognize and defend against an attacker.  This class will strengthen your mind, body and spirit so that you may never have to be a victim.

    Learn basic guitar chords, strumming techniques, tuning and care of the guitar.  Emphasis is on the guitar as accompaniment and will include simple guitar solos.

Senior Classes 

  • Beginners Crochet

    Get hooked on creating fun projects! Crochet is a growing trend and easy to do.  Learn new stitches, techniques, and begin projects in this new class!

  • Pickleball

    This addicting sport is a mix of ping pong and tennis in which participants use a solid paddle to hit a whiffle ball over a net.  While similar to tennis, the court is one third the size- providing a great, lower impact workout.
