Stop by Hugh Smith Recreation Center the second Friday of every month for Friday Night Hoops after hours play!
Do Right at Night, Friday Night Hoops is a tournament style open play for all 7th-12th grade boys and girls. All sessions will start promptly at 8 PM at Hugh Smith Recreation Center, 1815 New York Ave Arlington, TX 76010.
The goal of this open run basketball series is to provide a positive environment for young adults to use basketball as a tool that will allow them to collectively develop key skills (teamwork, communication, leadership, etc.), and allow players to engage in productive activities during the hours of the events.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at least 20 minutes before to account for sign in* and or membership purchase if necessary. The doors to the facility will be locked at 9 PM and no one will be allowed to enter the facility after that time. All Do Right at Night Hoop Sessions will end at 10 PM. It is important to note that all participants will be required to exit the premise and are not allowed to linger around the facility ground after the events have ended.

Teams and games will be organized by Metro Sports Fieldhouse volunteers. The number of teams, games, scores, and time of games will be decided on by Metro Sports staff and will be based on attendance.

*Parent(s) or legal guardians are required to be present to sign in participants the first time a participant attends a Do Right at Night Hoop Session and bring a signed copy of the release form. If a parent or legal guardian has more than one child participating, an individual release form must be signed for each child. Guardians have the sole responsibility of making sure participants that they have guardianship over are provided transportation to and from the facility and that they make it to their destination safely. Current high school students 18 years or older can sign the release form for themselves. Each participant will be required to provide a valid middle or high school student ID along with a valid Arlington Parks & Recreation membership before being allowed to participate in the program. Participants student ID must reflect that dates that reflect the current school year. Individuals that graduate in 2018 will be allowed to participate in the event through the end of their school year.
