Arlington's friendship with the German town of Bad Königshofen began in 1951 as a humanitarian effort to help the town aid refugees fleeing Eastern Germany. Arlington' generosity developed into a special relationship between the two cities that continues today. Sister Cities members recently visited Bad Königshofen for a joint anniversary celebration—65 years of partnership and Bad Königshofen's 1,275th anniversary.
Sister Cities of Arlington will have a free Oktoberfest photo display along with 65th Anniversary commemorative items.
