MOM AND SON OVERNIGHT AT THE REC

Calling all moms! Grab the sleeping bags, blow-up mattresses, and anything else you need to be comfy for a night with your son! Cliff Nelson Recreation Center's Mom and Son Overnight at the Rec is Friday, April 21 from 5 PM – Saturday, April 22 morning.

The night will include a hotdog dinner, friendly mom & son competitions, a treasure hunt, fishing, a movie and more. Ages 6+, $12 per person.

Space is limited, pre-registration is required.

FRIDAY 10-S PLAY NIGHTS

Bring your junior tennis player to Arlington Tennis Center's Friday 10-S Play Night on Friday, April 21. Arlington Tennis Center's Friday 10-S Play Nights are designed to allow Juniors (ages 9-10) to enjoy an evening of tennis games and competition with children their own age.

Play will take place on ATC's specially marked junior courts, with specific 10 & Under equipment and balls. The $15 price includes a boxed dinner!

Play nights are limited to 24 players and the deadline to register is April 19.

LAKE ARLINGTON CLEAN-UP

Keep Arlington Beautiful is looking for volunteers for their Earth Day and Great American Clean-Up Event!

Registration deadline is today, April 10 at 5 PM. To register contact kab@arlingtontx.gov.

The goal is to improve the appearance of Lake Arlington and increase public awareness about how litter can affect water quality. Individuals, civic clubs, organizations and student groups are being encouraged to register and volunteer.

Volunteers will assist on shore and off shore around Lake Arlington.

PUBLIC MEETING: PROPOSED SE RECREATION CENTER

The proposed project involves a new recreation center in Webb Community Park located in southeast Arlington. Webb Community Park is approximately 70 acres and is located on Mansfield-Webb Road.

A second public meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at James Coble Middle School, 1200 Ballweg Rd., Arlington, 76002. Come make your voice heard!

Additionally there is a questionnaire regarding the proposed recreation center. Click the button below to be taken to the page where you can find the survey.

This survey should take you about 5 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help shape the future city services in southeast Arlington. The survey will close late this week.
