FATHER SON ADVENTURE DAY

Only a few spots remain for our Father Son Adventure Day this Saturday, May 20! Come venture out of your normal Saturday routine and perfect your aim in archery, go fishing and paddle around Lake Arlington.

Light breakfast and refreshments will be provided.

$10 per person, no age limit or restriction. Pre-registration required.

NRPA GOLD MEDAL AWARD

The Arlington Parks and Recreation department (APRD) has been named a finalist for the 2017 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management, announced by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), on Wednesday.

A panel of five park and recreation professionals reviews and judges all application materials. Judges are chosen for their considerable experience and knowledge in parks and recreation on both the local and national levels. Arlington released its 2017 gold medal application to the public, which can be viewed at gold.naturallyfun.org/.

ADULT INLINE HOCKEY

Registration for inline hockey is open until May 26. Inline Hockey leagues are for men ages 18 and up. Each season consists of 8 games plus playoffs. All teams must provide their own uniforms and game equipment (H.E,C.C. Certified Helments, Hockey Gloves, Skates and Shin Pads). The league will follow the rules and regulations set by the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department.

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY

The good times and great food have rolled into Arlington, Texas once again for Spring 2017!

Join us for the final Food Truck Friday Lunch at Founders Plaza/ Levitt Pavilion* from 11 AM - 2 PM this Friday, May 19.

*Please be mindful of Downtown lane closures when coming out to Lunches. Click here for details!

Food truck line-ups will be announced the Wednesday before each event. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to the food truck events, as seating is limited. Come on out with family and friends and enjoy music, fun and great food from our area food trucks.
