NEW SCHOOL SUPPLIES = AQUATICS DISCOUNTS

Make a splash in your local community by donating a new school supply item and get half price admission at any Arlington outdoor pool from July 31 to August 13.

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department sets out collection buckets at each of the City's six outdoor pools to collect supplies for Mission Arlington.

Mission Arlington has identified items it is specifically looking for, such as:

  • Pencil boxes and bags
  • Round tip scissors
  • Blue and green folders with brads
  • Red pens
  • Rulers

ARLINGTON CITY OPEN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Sign your junior up to compete to the best in Arlington at this year's Arlington City Open Junior Championship which is less than a week away!

Boys and girls ages 6-18 will have the opportunity to test their skills against their fellow junior golfers in this year's Arlington City Open Junior Championship on August 14-15 at the award-winning Tierra Verde Golf Club.

Entry includes 2 rounds of golf, range balls at Tierra Verde (for both 15-16 & 17-18 divisions), tee prizes,
awards and food following play on Tuesday. Register in person at any of the three Golf Shops or call:

ROBIN'S COOKING CAFE

Spend the afternoon with friends learning to cook delicious seasonal recipes. This class meets from 2-4 PM the second Tuesday of every month. The next class is on Tuesday, August 8 and will cover how to prepare various chilled summer soups. The cost is $20 per person.

The following fall youth sports will open for registration on August 1: outdoor soccer, girls t-ball, girls machine pitch, t-ball, modified coach pitch, coach pitch, and kid pitch.
