Volunteers Needed at Randol Mill Park | Mar 11

Friday, 17 February 2017 00:00

Volunteers are needed for a work day at the Randol Mill Park tree farm 8 AM to 2 PM March 11. Help The Forestry and Beautification team repot saplings, trim nursery trees, and transplant seedlings into the tree farm located in the back of Randol Mill Park at this come-and-go volunteer work day.

The tree farm is located in the northwest corner of the park. Follow directions from entrance to the correct area. No sign up necessary, but participants will have to sign a waiver before helping out. Tools and supplies will be provided, but participants can bring their own cleaned pruning loppers.

Click here for information on proper pruning techniques. The tree farm is used to provide trees to the public for L.E.A.F and EcoFest events. For more information, contact Jeremy Priest at 817-575-8310.
