ATC Seeking FT Assistant Tennis Pro

Arlington Tennis Center (ATC) is an award-wining public tennis facility located in Arlington Texas, near Interstate 20 and Matlock Rd. ATC has 26 outdoor, lighted tennis courts, including six 10 and Under courts.

ATC is seeking a USPTA Professional to join our dynamic team as a full-time assistant tennis professional. Annual salary range listed is the base only compensation. Additional compensation is paid for lessons. In addition, the person who fills this position will be an employee of the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, and will receive full benefits (e.g., insurance options, sick leave, vacation, retirement). BASE Annual Salary Range: $25,750-$32,200 + additional compensation for lessons.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for teaching private and group lessons, assisting with the development of lesson plans and program development, assisting with special events and ensuring a positive facility appearance. The expectation is that the person in this position will work approximately half or more of their workweek on court, and the other half assisting with program management (e.g., Junior Team Tennis, recreational leagues). This position will report directly to the Tennis Managing Director / Facility Manager.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have at least three years of continuous experience (beyond seasonal employment) in teaching tennis lessons, program implementation and assisting with tennis-related special events. Current USPTA Professional (formerly USPTA Professional 2) or higher status is required. Professional Tennis Management (PTM) degrees are preferred.
